The monitoring company has been instructed to call three people to confirm the emergency. If the emergency is confirmed or they are unable to speak to anyone, they will call 911. The rough escalation plan looks like the following:

  4. Call 911

No, the monitoring company will only know your whereabouts if you press the button.

What should leads/managers do if they are not available to answer a call from the monitoring station?

Nothing. There are at least 2 backup leads assigned for each staff member. 911 will be called if unable to reach any of the escalation contacts.

The button should be charged daily.

How long does it take the panic button to charge?

It will take two hours to charge. The button can also remain on the charger if not in use.

I dropped my button or fell down causing the button’s blue light to come on, what is happening?

The button has a fall detection feature; therefore, thinks that you’ve fallen. It will call your cell phone and your escalation contacts unless you immediately press and hold the button until the blue light turns off.
